Join us at Queens’ Cafe for a fundraising soy candle making workshop Saturday, April 18th, 1-3 PM.

Owner Sabrena Elmarzouky of Queens’ Cafe will be a Celebrity Bartender for Reading Public Libraries Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 20th from 5-8 PM at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub. $20 per workshop seat will be donated to her fundraising goal for this local event supporting the Reading Public Library. WHAT WERE DOING APRIL 18TH: Learn the craft of making your very own Spring themed small batch soy candles. Blend your custom scent from an assortment of 20 high quality, phthalate free, carcinogen free, and paraben free oils.

Decorate your 4 tealights and amber jar candle with an assortment of biodegradable glitters and crystal chips. You will be guided through the candle making process step by step, no experience needed! This workshop is for anyone 12 and older.

All tools are provided for your soy candle making experience and beginner friendly. A wax melter is provided to pre-melt the soy wax, which is then poured into your own pour pitcher by you to blend with choice fragrance oils. You will make one amber jar candle and 4 tea lights using 9 oz of soy wax. Your 1 wick amber jar soy candle burns up to 44 hours. Tealights hold .6 oz of wax and burn up to 6 hours.

Trade tealights you create with others in the group to leave with a variety of scents infused with each other's creative expression. Coffee and food will be available purchased separately.
